Healthy Lifestyle Event coming to Grindleford in March

Make an appointment for a healthier lifestyle

Active Grinidleford - Festival of Health

If you think it's time for a lifestyle makeover head down to the bishops pavilion, Grindleford, on Saturday 24th March and embrace a healthier and more active approach to living.

Part of the highly successful Active Grindleford project, launched last year by Minister for Sport, Richard Caborn MP, the event has been set up in conjunction with the Primary Care Trust and Derbyshire Dales District Council to provide insight into all aspects of healthy living.

If you feel it's time to bite the bullet, then the festival could be the vital catalyst to a better lifestyle. There will be an opportunity to test your blood pressure, find out more about health walks in the area, how to improve your diet and stub out your smoking habit for good.

Those keen to sample new sports and exercises can also sign up to taster sessions and try out sports and therapeutic massage, a sports injury assessment, aerobics, orienteering, pilates and more.

Commenting on the event, Paul Whitworth, Grindleford's own Sports Development Officer said: "The Active Grindleford Healthy Lifestyle Event is an open invitation to people wanting to embrace a more active lifestyle. There is no pressure to take part and it's not designed to be intimidating in any way - but to allow people to 'dip their toe in' to a healthier lifestyle in a fun and inspiring way."

With NO entry fee, there is no excuse to seize the moment and commit yourself to a healthier lifestyle.

The event is open from 10am - 1pm and refreshments will also be available.
