Climbing & Caneoing Weekend 2

People in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire, are being encouraged to get active and explore their adventurous sides for another exciting weekend of outdoor activities on 9th and 10th August.

After the success of the ‘Spring into Action day’ in March and the Climbing/Canoeing weekend in mid July, Active Grindleford has teamed up once again with Whitehall Outdoor Pursuits Centre to offer a second weekend of Climbing and Canoeing days for local people.

9th August– Rock Climbing Day

A day at a local crag, where adults and young people can all come along and try out climbing. A family friendly session, as well as time for those who would like to start learning more skills and how to go climbing independently. For these people there will be a chance to do some more advanced sessions.

10th August – Canoeing Day

A day at a local reservoir. Come and try out both canoeing and kayaking either by yourself, with friends, or bring the family. No age restrictions, as long as the buoyancy aids can fit, we can get them on the water! A full day of fun on and in the water! Bring a picnic lunch and hopefully we will get to enjoy it in the sunshine!

Costs for each day are as follows: £10 per person (Active Grindleford members) and £15 per day (non members). Cheques are made payable to GPFA.

Written consent is required before taking part in the activities.
